Founded by leading New Zealand trainer Roger James in 1987, Kingsclere Stables has maintained a successful record of training elite racehorses for nearly four decades. Roger currently trains in partnership with talented young horseman Robert Wellwood and the duo have produced numerous stakes winners since their training partnership commenced at the beginning of the 2018/19 racing season.

Kingsclere trainers Roger James and Robert Wellwood pride themselves on having one of the best and most consistent winning strike rates in the country.

Within Kingscleres’ stable complex, there are 34 boxes in a secure, enclosed barn, six open-air boxes, a ten horse walker and an office complex.

Maintaining excellent communication with our owners is paramount. When your horse is in work at Kingsclere, you will receive photos, videos and reports.
