Grand debut for blueblooded filly

Grand De Flora

Impeccably bred three-year-old filly Grand De Flora showed us a glimpse of her mum’s brilliance today when winning impressively on debut at Hawkes Bay Racing.

Ridden by Ryan Elliot, Grand De Flora made light work of her three-year-old rivals, breaking clear in the straight to win comfortably.

Bred and raced by Garry and Mark Chittick, Grand De Flora races in the famous Waikato Stud silks. By their five-time champion sire Savabeel, Grand De Flora is out of Waikato Stud’s three-time Group 1 winner Daffodil whose major wins include the G1 AJC Oaks, G1 NZ 1000 Guineas and G1 Windsor Park Plate.

Congratulations to the team at Waikato Stud, we look forward to a bright future ahead with her!
