Kingsclere are excited to have a promising contender in, Western Springs (Lohnro) representing the whole team in the $1 million DoubleTree by Hilton Karaka Million 2YO race on Saturday. He has drawn a dream barrier in three and will be ridden by his regular rider Vinnie Colgan.
He was purchased by Roger and Robert for $280,000 from the Book One yearling draft of Monovale Farm in 2020. Purchasing six classy horses from the class of 2020, it is a massive achievement to have one of those in one of New Zealand’s richest races a mere one year later.
The team has once again viewed the entire New Zealand Bloodstock 2021 catalogue on the search for the next ‘Western Springs’ and welcome any enquiries to join Kingsclere.
We would like to wish his owners Ron and Judy Wanless all the best for the big occasion. We look forward to seeing how he acquits himself on Saturday.
